Jarrod Williams is a seasoned research and development scientist with extensive experience in advanced materials. Currently serving as a Senior Research Development Scientist at General Atomics since March 2016, Jarrod previously worked at NASA Glenn Research Center from 2012 to 2015 as a Research Chemist, focusing on the synthesis of highly porous super insulators known as aerogels. Prior to that, Jarrod was a Research Assistant at Kent State University from May 2007 to June 2012, specializing in synthetic organic chemistry, including the design and synthesis of photoactivatable fluorogens, liquid crystals, and nonlinear optical materials. Jarrod holds a PhD in Organic Materials Synthesis as well as a Doctor of Philosophy in Organic Chemistry from Kent State University, both earned between 2007 and 2012.
