Heidi Kahly-McMahon

VP, Human Resources, Genesis Health System at Genesis Health System

Kahly-McMahon began her career at Genesis in 2001 as a human resources manager for the organization's home health, physician practice, Psychology Associates and employee assistance program (EAP) entities. She was named Assistant Vice President of Human Resources in 2006 and Vice President of Human Resources in 2009. Prior to joining Genesis, Kahly-McMahon was director of human resources for Sterling Rock Falls Clinic, one of the largest physician groups in northwest Illinois.

She is a graduate of Western Illinois University and holds a Master of Business Administration from St. Ambrose University. She serves on the board of directors of Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Mississippi Valley and the Wellness Council of Iowa. Other professional affiliations include the Society for Human Resource Management and the National Association of Professional Women. Kahly-McMahon and her husband, Jim, reside in Sterling, Ill. They have two children at home.

Genesis Health System exists to provide compassionate, quality health services to all those in need. It contains 665 inpatient beds across the entire health system, and employs 5500 people. Genesis was formed from the partnership of its two predecessor hospitals, Mercy Hospital (founded in 1869) and St. Luke's Hospital (founded in 1885), both in Davenport. Genesis Health System was formed in June of 1994, and now serves a 10 county area with three urban hospitals and three critical access hospitals in eastern Iowa and western Illinois.
