Lorne Palmer has extensive work experience in the biopharmaceutical industry. Lorne started their career as a post-doctoral fellow at Protiva Biotherapeutics in 2000 and later served as a research scientist at the same company from 2002 to 2009. In 2009, they joined Tekmira Pharmaceuticals as a senior scientist, a role they held for nine years until 2018. Currently, they are working at Genevant Sciences as a senior scientist.
Lorne Palmer has an extensive education history spanning several prestigious institutions. Lorne began their academic journey in 1986 at Acadia University, where they pursued a Bachelor of Science Honors degree in Chemistry, a program that lasted from 1986 to 1991. Following this, they attended the University of Guelph from 1991 to 1994, earning a Master of Science degree in Chemistry/Biochemistry. Lorne then proceeded to The University of British Columbia, where they pursued a Ph.D. degree in Biochemistry from 1994 to 2000. Lorne Palmer's education history highlights their passion for the field of Chemistry and a desire to specialize in the intricate study of Biochemistry.
