Hamsa Gowda

Hamsa Gowda, PhD has a diverse range of work experience in various research positions. Currently, Hamsa works as a Scientist, Product Transfer at GenMark Diagnostics since September 2021. Prior to this role, Hamsa served as a Postdoctoral Researcher at the University of California, Irvine from January 2021 to June 2021. Additionally, Hamsa gained experience as a Research Translation Group Fellow at UCI Beall Applied Innovation @ the Cove from October 2018 to December 2020. Hamsa's research career began at UC Irvine as a Graduate Student Researcher from September 2015 to December 2020. During this time, Hamsa also worked as an Undergraduate Researcher at the University of Maryland Baltimore County from June 2011 to December 2014. Furthermore, Hamsa has undertaken Summer Research Internships at Johns Hopkins University in 2013 and UC Berkeley in 2012. Overall, Hamsa has accumulated valuable research experience, spanning from undergraduate to postdoctoral levels, which contributes to their expertise in the field.

Hamsa Gowda, PhD, obtained a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Chemical Engineering with a specialization in the Bioengineering track from the University of Maryland Baltimore County. This educational achievement was completed from the year 2010 to 2014. Subsequently, Hamsa pursued further academic advancement at UC Irvine, where they completed their Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Biomedical Engineering from 2015 to 2020.
