Michael Szczepaniak

Michael Szczepaniak is a seasoned geophysicist with extensive experience in the energy sector. Currently serving as a Senior Geophysicist at Geoscience Australia since May 2022 and as a Principal Consultant at Datum Geoservices since August 2020, Szczepaniak has held various prominent positions including Geophysical Lead at Oil Search Limited and Principal Geophysicist at InterOil Corporation. With a solid foundation in geophysics, development, and exploration, Michael has a strong track record in both technical and advisory roles across multiple organizations, including Shell PDO, INPEX, Woodside Energy, and Santos Ltd. Michael holds two degrees from The University of Queensland: a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) in Physics, Mathematics, and Geology, as well as a Bachelor of Applied Science (Honors) in Applied Geophysics.
