Dr Geoff Heald

Dr. Geoff Heald is a distinguished academic and practitioner in negotiation and conflict resolution, currently serving as the lead for the Wilderness Foundation Africa Conflict Resolution & Conservation Initiative since May 2024. Dr. Heald holds multiple roles as an Associate Lecturer at the Graduate School of Business - University of Cape Town and the University of Free State Business School, along with a long-standing position at Wits Business School, where Dr. Heald has developed a comprehensive negotiation curriculum over more than two decades. Additionally, Dr. Heald is involved as an Associate Lecturer/International Faculty at the Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile and IEDC - Bled School of Management. Dr. Heald's academic credentials include a PhD in Negotiation under Deep Rooted Conflict, an LLM in International Law and Nuclear Weapons, and an MBA from Stellenbosch Business School, complemented by executive training in negotiation from Harvard Business School.
