Dr. Neissan Besharati

Dr. Neissan Besharati is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in sustainability, impact investing, and public health. Currently serving as an adjunct professor at GIBS Business School and holding key roles at UNAIDS as a Senior SSC Advisor and as the Executive Director of the Pan-African Financing for Development Institute, Dr. Besharati has contributed significantly to various international organizations, including the African Union Development Agency-NEPAD and UNICEF. With a Ph.D. in Public Policy and Development Management from the University of the Witwatersrand and additional degrees from UNSW and Middlesex University, Dr. Besharati's expertise spans policy advisory, research leadership, and the co-founding of initiatives promoting sustainable urban lifestyles.
