Chao Xie has an extensive work experience in the field of data analytics and data science. Chao is currently working at GIC as the Head of Data Analytics for the IAD team. Prior to that, they served as the SVP and Principal Data Scientist at GIC. Before joining GIC, Chao was the Chief Data Scientist at Lucence and the Head of Data at AirAsia.com. Chao also held positions at Grab as the Data Science Lead/Senior Manager and Principal Data Scientist. Earlier in their career, Chao worked as a Bioinformatics Scientist at Human Longevity, Inc. and as a Research Fellow at the National University of Singapore and Singapore Centre on Environmental Life Sciences Engineering. Chao began their professional journey as a Research Assistant at the National University of Singapore.
Chao Xie obtained a B.Sc (hons.) degree in Biochemistry from the National University of Singapore from the year 2000 to 2004. Chao then pursued a Ph.D in Bioinformatics at the same institution, completing it from 2005 to 2010.
