Michelle Taylor

Michelle Taylor currently serves as Vice President, General Counsel, and Corporate Secretary at Gildan since October 2021, and also holds the position of Canadian Member on the ICC Commission on Arbitration and ADR since September 2022. Previously, Michelle was Vice-President, Legal Services, General Counsel, and Corporate Secretary at the Canadian Commercial Corporation from January 2018 to October 2021. With extensive legal experience, Michelle worked as Senior Legal Counsel at Rio Tinto from January 2006 to December 2017, and as an Associate Lawyer at White & Case LLP and Borden Ladner Gervais LLP. Early in the legal career, Michelle served as a Judicial Clerk at the Federal Court between September 1999 and September 2000. Education includes a Master of Laws in Business Law and a Mining Law Certificate from York University - Osgoode Hall Law School, along with a Juris Doctor from Western University and a Bachelor of Arts (Advanced) from Dalhousie University, among other international studies.
