Uzma Ahmad

Uzma Ahmad serves as Vice President, Deputy General Counsel and Corporate Secretary at La-Z-Boy Incorporated since April 2019, previously holding the title of Senior Director of Corporate Law and Assistant Secretary. Ahmad has been a State Committee Volunteer for Emgage Michigan since November 2016, focusing on voter education and mobilization within the Muslim community. Prior experience includes roles as VP, Deputy General Counsel and Assistant Secretary at XPO Logistics, Inc., and Con-way Inc., where major responsibilities involved advising executives on securities law and governance during significant corporate transactions. Ahmad began career as a Corporate Finance Associate at Dykema Gossett PLLC and has held positions at Dechert LLP and as an Adjunct Professor at the University of Michigan Law School. Ahmad earned a JD from Harvard Law School and an AB in Biology from Harvard University.
