Shweta is Chief People Officer at GitHub, responsible for driving GitHub’s people priorities in partnership with the company’s Executive Leadership Team. She plays a critical role in shaping the employee experience and cultivating a culture of inclusion.

Prior to GitHub, Shweta served as Chief People Officer at Lacework (acquired by Fortinet) and brings a track record of experience across business operations, customer success, strategy, and all things people-related. Before Lacework, she held various leadership roles at Splunk. She earned her MBA from The Wharton School of Business.

Outside of GitHub, Shweta enjoys spending time with her husband and two little kids, exploring new activities and discovering new places with them. She is also passionate about advising companies in the HR tech space, supporting innovative people-focused initiatives, and exploring how new technologies can enhance the future of work.
