Chris Armitage is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in environmental and agricultural initiatives. Currently serving as an Advisory Board Member for the UN Decade on Ecosystem Restoration and as a member of the Global Future Council on the Future of Food and Water Security, Chris also holds the position of CEO at the Global EverGreening Alliance since May 2018. Previous roles include Interim Project Director for Regreening Africa at the World Agroforestry Centre, where the project aimed to support small-scale farming families across multiple African countries, and various consulting positions specializing in ecosystem-based adaptation and agroforestry initiatives with organizations such as UN Environment and the International Renewable Energy Agency. Chris's contributions to environmental governance are also reflected in board membership at The Wilderness Society in Victoria, Australia. Educational background includes studies at the University of Melbourne.

Global EverGreening Alliance
The Global EverGreening Alliance is an international NGO which coordinates the development and implementation of massive-scale environmental restoration and sustainable agricultural intensification projects in developing countries around the world. The organization was established by its members to facilitate a collaborative approach to the global problems of food insecurity, rural poverty, climate change and land degradation, and to develop and implement long-term solutions at a globally significant scale.
