Matt Grob started their work experience as a co-op/student at Sunnen Products Company in 1985. Matt then joined Qualcomm in 1991 and held various leadership roles, including Senior Engineer, Vice President of Engineering, and Executive Vice President and Chief Technology Officer. In 2018, they became the CTO of XCOM Labs, and in 2023, they became the Chief Technology Officer of Globalstar.

Matt Grob attended Bradley University from 1984 to 1989, where they earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering. Matt then pursued further education at Stanford University from 1989 to 1991, obtaining a Master of Science degree in Electrical Engineering. In addition to their formal education, they have also acquired certifications such as an Amateur Radio Operator / Technician (no-code) from the Federal Communications Commission and a Private Pilot License / Instrument Rating from the Federal Aviation Administration.
