Daniel Budiman

Daniel is a Co-Founder and Managing Partner of Mahanusa Capital. Currently, Mahanusa Capital manages capital invested in public instruments and private opportunities. Mahanusa owns and operates companies in consumer goods, commercial property, mining, retail, specialty chemical, fund management, and technology sectors in Indonesia and Southeast Asia.

Prior to establishing Mahanusa Capital, Daniel worked as an investment banker for Merrill Lynch and JP Morgan in Singapore and Jakarta, responsible for M&A and equity transactions in Southeast Asia. Previously, he was in brand management at Procter & Gamble, based in the U.S. and Indonesia.

Outside of his Mahanusa related activities, Daniel currently sits as a board member of PT Blue Bird Tbk, a publicly-listed leading Indonesian transportation company. He also serves as Advisor for Antler, Systemiq Inc, and Argyle Street Management HK Limited.

Daniel is a longtime member of the Young Presidents Organization and currently is the Chairman of YPO Gold Indonesia chapter. Having served as past President of the Harvard Club of Indonesia, Daniel now serves on the Global Advisory Council of the Harvard Business School. He also sits on the leadership boards of the Indonesian Chamber of Commerce (Kadin) and Apindo. Daniel volunteers as a Mentor with Endeavor.

Daniel holds a BBA from the University of Iowa and an MBA from Harvard University.
