Blake Matthies, Ph.D., is an accomplished engineer with extensive experience in the tire and telecommunications industries. Currently serving as Lead Engineer at The Goodyear Tire & Rubber Company since August 2017, Blake has advanced through the roles of Principal Engineer and Senior Engineer. Prior to this, Blake held various positions at AT&T from July 2007 to December 2016, including Manager of Network Services, overseeing a team that excelled in service installations and maintenance, achieving a top ranking in the Midwest. Earlier in career history, Blake worked as an Applied Research Physicist at the Akron Rubber Development Laboratory, developing statistical models and testing techniques for tire performance. Blake's academic background includes a Ph.D. in Physics from the University of Missouri-Columbia and a Bachelor's Degree in Physics from Gonzaga University.
