Anatoly Zaytsev

Sr. Data Scientist, Research at Google

Anatoly Zaytsev is a seasoned data scientist with extensive experience in research and analytics. Currently serving as a Senior Data Scientist at Google since January 2021, Anatoly focuses on user engagement patterns and the long-term impact of experiments on user growth. Prior to Google, Anatoly co-founded Retentioneering, an open-source Python framework for quantitative analysis, and conducted educational courses for product analysts. As Chief Data Scientist at App in the Air, Inc., Anatoly developed a recommendation engine and utilized decision models for demand forecasting. Experience at the University of Pennsylvania includes roles as a Postdoctoral Research Fellow and Visiting PhD Student, where Anatoly specialized in protein system dynamics in cancer development and was awarded the Kaluza Prize for excellence. Educational credentials include a Ph.D. in Biophysics from the Russian Academy of Sciences and a Master's degree in Physics from Lomonosov Moscow State University.
