Job description

Quality Control Specialist will formulate, revise, and establish quality control procedures to ensure adherence to quality standards.

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:

·         Complies with all safety rules and regulations.

·         Develop standards

·         Communicate standards

·         Work with team leads and management to improve quality

·         Work with manufacturing to assure procedures are being followed

·         Work with customers to assure quality meets expectations

·         Work with sales to assure quality meets expectations

·         Write and update work instructions to help communicate quality standards

·         Help with onboarding of new employees to communicate quality expectations

·         Work with engineering to assure we are meeting quality standards

·         Overtime or changes in normal shift may be necessary based on customer orders including weekdays, weekends, and/or holidays.

·         Other duties as assigned/necessary. We have a flexible environment where we enjoy working together as a team to do a variety of tasks throughout the facility to fulfill customer jobs.

QUALITY INSPECTIONS

Responsibilities:

·         Perform daily inspections of products in various stages of the manufacturing process

·         Work with shipping department to make sure only inspected products ship out

·         Create and maintain quality check lists to allow others to perform quality inspections

ISO CERTIFICATION

Responsibilities:

·         Maintain and update ISO paper work

·         Work with auditors to maintain ISO certification

Required Education and Experience:

·         A degree in Quality Control, Business, or Engineering or equivalent experience.

·         Ability to think strategically, understand business/financial data, and develop related improvement plans.

·         Strong problem solving and analytical skills to resolve complex issues for long-term improvement.

·         A balance of strategic and tactical leadership with high energy and sense of urgency.

·         Excellent organizational, communication and interpersonal skills.

·         Comfortable and able to work in an industrial environment.

·         Prefer experience with a custom engineered product or machine build environment.

·         Good administrative skills including attention to detail, comparing numbers, and tracking quantities.

·         Good written and verbal communication skills.

·         Must be able to work effectively with little or no supervision.

Operations Physical Requirements

·         Able to stand and work for extended periods of time.

·         Able to stoop, kneel, bend at the waist and reach on a daily basis.

·         Able to move around in a factory environment sometimes in tight spaces in and around equipment.

·         Able to lift and move up to 50 pounds periodically.
