Dinesh Babu

VP, Food Safety at Grimmway Farms

Dr. Dinesh Babu serves as Vice President of Food Safety and directs food safety programs across Grimmway’s fresh and frozen vegetable operations. He works cross-functionally to implement food safety standards, monitor process controls and ensure compliance with regulatory, third-party and customer guidelines. Babu has more than 10 years of expertise in managing the challenges of food safety and quality related to growing, processing and storing fresh foods. He most recently served as Director of Food Safety and Quality at Mann Packing Company in Salinas.

Babu holds certifications in the Global Food Safety Initiative Safe Quality Food Program (SQF), FDA Food Safety Modernization Act (FSMA) and Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point (HACCP), among others. He has a bachelor’s degree in agriculture, masters’ degrees in agricultural microbiology and soil science, and a doctorate in food science.
