During their time there, Daniel worked with partners such as Bain & Company, British Gas, Clifford Chance, Credit Suisse, Ernst & Young, Permira, and Thomson Reuters. Daniel was responsible for identifying innovative and sustainable not-for-profit social enterprises, providing them with grant funding and professional support to increase their social impact.

After their time at Social Business Trust, Daniel worked as a Business Improvement Consultant at Fashion Enter Ltd in 2014. In 2015, they took on the role of Head of Finance at Psycle London for eight months before joining Grind as their CFO in December 2015. The exact end dates for their roles at Grind and Psycle London were not provided, suggesting that they may still be working in those positions.

Daniel Sherfield completed their Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree in Mathematics with Economics from University College London, U. of London in the years 2003 to 2006.
