Laura Derouin

Laura Derouin serves as General Counsel and Corporate Secretary at Guarantee Trust Life Insurance Company since July 2025. Prior to this role, Laura held positions as Senior Corporate Counsel at Gallagher Bassett, where management of the Commercial Contracts team involved drafting and negotiating various agreements, and as Associate General Counsel and Assistant Corporate Secretary at Columbian Financial Group, focusing on compliance and privacy matters. Laura's extensive legal career includes nearly 14 years at Trustmark in multiple roles, including Deputy General Counsel and Chief Privacy Officer, overseeing litigation, regulatory compliance, and contract issues. Laura began the legal journey at Holland & Knight LLP as an associate and later as a partner. Laura holds a Juris Doctorate from Georgetown University Law Center, a Financial Certificate from Lake Forest Graduate School of Management, and a B.S. in Business Administration from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign.
