Varessa Butts

Varessa Butts is a seasoned communications professional with extensive experience in marketing and media management. Since December 2019, Varessa has served as Co-Founder of Rest Assured Foundation, while also holding the position of Communications Manager for the Department of Water Resources at Gwinnett County Government since December 2018. Prior roles include Marketing and Communications Coordinator for the City of Sugar Hill from July 2015 to November 2018, where responsibilities included the development of promotional materials and digital advertising management. Varessa's earlier experience includes serving as Publisher for Hulafrog, Inc., focusing on website content and social media marketing, and as Surgical Coordinator at Thomas Eye Group, where patient counseling and surgical paperwork management were key duties. Varessa holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Mass Communication/Media Studies from the University of West Georgia, earned between 2001 and 2006.
