Phil Kandl

Phil Kandl serves as the Director of Business Intelligence & Digital Analytics at Hachette Book Group since August 2016, bringing extensive experience in data analysis and software engineering. Prior roles include Senior Software Engineer at Market6 and Senior Application Architect and Data Analyst at Time Inc. between 2008 and 2014. Phil has also held various positions at Time Inc. from 1995 to 2006, including Senior Manager in Departmental Systems Development and Business Technology Manager. Earlier in the career, Phil was a Patrol Supervisor in the New York Army National Guard from 2006 to 2008. Phil holds a degree from SUNY Empire State College, earned between 2009 and 2017, and graduated from Kingston High School in 1973.
