Owen Mariani is a Computer Science student at Boston University with extensive experience in software development and program management. Currently serving as a Software Engineer Intern at BU Spark!, Owen has architected a community service portal and optimized data integration for city police data. As the Director of Impact at Hack4Impact@BU, Owen significantly increased workshop attendance and improved club operations. Previous roles include Program Manager of Finance and Technology at BU Spark!, where Owen managed budgets and initiated technology workshops, along with advisory roles at PMReady-BU. Additional experience includes a Machine Learning Engineer position at AtScale, where Owen led integration research and developed solutions for major clients. Overall, Owen combines technical expertise with leadership experience to drive impactful projects and educational initiatives.

Hack4Impact's mission is to foster the wider adoption of software as a tool for social impact. We believe in technology's huge potential to empower activists and humanitarians to create lasting and impactful social change. Today, Hack4Impact has over 900 active members across our 12 chapters, helping over 100 outside non-profit organizations. Hack4Impact exists for both nonprofits and students. We currently connect student software developers with nonprofits and other socially responsible businesses to develop powerful new tools for social change. This enables nonprofits to further their mission and better engage their clients. In addition, we host speaker events and develop workshops for students, open to the entire community.
