Gerd Overbeck has a diverse work experience spanning different industries and roles. Gerd has held leadership positions in various mobility companies, including Hacon and Padam Mobility, where they served as the Head of Shared Mobility & Partnerships and Head of DACH, respectively. Gerd has also worked at Deutsche Bahn as the Lead New Mobility @ Smart City and Senior Manager Smart City. Prior to that, they were a Senior Mobility & Innovation Manager at Arriva Group. Gerd's earlier experience includes roles at choice GmbH as a Project Manager/Consultant and diffferent as an Interim Consultant and Working Student. Gerd also had a role as an Assistant to Project Leader at Limest Market Research. Gerd began their career as a Physiotherapist at Reeder Unternehmensgruppe, where they later became an Interim Manager.

Gerd Overbeck holds a Master of Science (M.Sc.) in Economics from FernUniversität in Hagen. Gerd also obtained a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in Business Administration and Sociology from the University of Potsdam. In addition to their formal education, Gerd has completed several certifications, including Professional Agile Leadership (PAL I) from Scrum.org in 2021, Professional Scrum Master I (PSM I) from Scrum.org in 2020, and Design Coach from Sebastian F. Müller in 2019. Gerd also holds certifications in PRINCE2 Practitioner and PRINCE2 Foundation from BCS, The Chartered Institute for IT, obtained in 2017 and 2016 respectively. Furthermore, Gerd obtained certifications in Artificial Intelligence and Ethics and Foundations of Artificial Intelligence from KI-Campus in 2023.
