Yakov Gegner

Yakov Gegner is a seasoned professional in the telecommunications industry, currently serving as the Performance Project Lead and Senior QA System Engineer at Harmonic since April 2019. In this role, Yakov established Performance Testing for the CableOS and Apollo projects, focusing on Kubernetes and various protocols in distributed cable systems. Prior experience includes leadership roles at Intel Corporation, where Yakov led the Validation Team for the Cable Modem Department, and at MRV Communications as a Validation Tech Leader. Additionally, Yakov held significant positions at Nokia Siemens Networks, Atrica, and Alvarion LTD., contributing to system verification and integration projects across multiple product lines. Yakov holds a Master of Science degree from Brjanskij State Technological University, earned between 1981 and 1986.
