Justin W. Cook

Justin W. Cook is a Design Critic in Architecture at Harvard University, where responsibilities include teaching systems design to Master of Design Engineering students. As the Founding Director of the Center for Complexity at the Rhode Island School of Design, Justin leads interdisciplinary research to address pressing challenges through collaboration among artists, designers, and communities. Justin's experience encompasses strategic roles, including Senior Lead in Strategy at Sitra the Finnish Innovation Fund and Advisor at the OECD's Observatory for Public Sector Innovation, focusing on sustainability and public sector innovation. Co-founding Integrated Design Cubed has involved developing modular mass timber buildings aimed at resolving climate and housing crises. Justin holds a Master of Architecture from Harvard University and a Bachelor's degree from the University of Washington, along with a Diversity and Inclusion Certificate from Cornell University.
