Ran Gong

Ran Gong has a diverse work experience spanning several industries. Currently, Gong holds the position of Senior Manager, Software Engineering at the Health Data Analytics Institute (HDAI), where they have been working since January 2023. Prior to this role, Gong served as Manager, Software Engineering at HDAI from October 2021 to December 2022.

Before joining HDAI, Gong worked at Commonwealth Financial Network as a Senior Software Engineer and Tech Lead from August 2020 to October 2021. Prior to that, they were a Consultant at Slalom from July 2018 to August 2020.

Gong's earlier experience includes working as a Software Engineer at OnSolve, where they specialized in designing and developing API services, from March 2017 to June 2018. They also worked as a Software Developer at USALLIANCE Financial, where they built a web application for credit card applications using Angular, from September 2014 to February 2017.

Before gaining professional experience in the software industry, Gong worked as a Software Developer Intern at Onion Corporation, developing landing pages, blogs, and debugging websites from March 2014 to August 2014. They also worked as a Software Developer at Boston University, where they developed a ninja game for pronunciation improvement and created a standalone application for data extraction, from September 2013 to February 2014.

In addition to their software-related roles, Gong has experience in manufacturing engineering, having worked as an intern at China Yaohua Glass Group Corporation, where they supervised employees and assisted with hiring and training from June 2011 to September 2011.

Gong's leadership abilities were showcased as the President of the Hebei University of Technology Student Union Public Relation Department, where they managed the budget, organized events, and held regular meetings with a student group from September 2009 to September 2010.

Ran Gong completed a Master of Engineering (M.Eng.) degree in Mechanical Engineering from Boston University between 2012 and 2014. Prior to this, they obtained a Bachelor of Engineering (BE) degree in Materials Science from Hebei University of Technology. In terms of additional certifications, they received the following qualifications: Microsoft Certified: Azure Fundamentals from Microsoft in May 2020, AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Associate from Amazon Web Services (AWS) in May 2019, 761- Querying data with Transact-SQL from Microsoft in June 2017, and Mendix Rapid Developer from Mendix in January 2016.
