Dawn Gard O'Connell has extensive experience in the legal field, holding various senior positions in several companies. Dawn began their career at Grippo & Elden as an Associate, eventually becoming a Senior Associate and working there from May 1996 to February 2000. Following this, they joined Newell Rubbermaid as an Assistant General Counsel from March 2000 to March 2003. Dawn then worked as an Assistant General Counsel at FMC Technologies from April 2003 to June 2008. In 2008, they briefly served as an Assistant General Counsel at John Bean Technologies, Inc. From January 2009 to December 2011, they were a Partner at Chapman & Spingola, LLP. From January 2012 to July 2015, they held the role of Vice President and Assistant General Counsel for Litigation and Risk Management at The Heico Companies LLC. Dawn then went on to serve as Vice President and General Counsel for the Ancra Group from August 2015 to December 2016. In January 2017, they became the Vice President and General Counsel for the Pettibone Group. From May 2018 to February 2020, they held the position of Vice President and Acting General Counsel at The Heico Companies LLC. Currently, they serve as the Chief Compliance Officer, Vice President & Deputy General Counsel at The Heico Companies LLC.

It holds interests in businesses in a variety of industries including aerospace, steel wire products, pre-engineered metal buildings, heavy equipment, telecommunications, plastics, food production, commercial construction and material handling equipment. Michael Heisley started Heico in 1979 with one small manufacturing company. Heisley also owns a majority stake in the NBA Memphis Grizzlies.
