Andrew Oles

Andrew Oles is a Principal Thermal Analyst at Heliogen, responsible for the design and analysis of concentrated solar thermal receivers, leading projects involving high-temperature working fluids and large rotating solid-particle receivers. Previously, Andrew served as a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer at ASML, specializing in detailed simulations of opto-mechanical systems, and held various teaching and research roles at the University of Maryland during the pursuit of a Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering. Andrew's early career included internships at Raytheon and Hughes Associates, focusing on design enhancements and automated data analysis. Andrew holds a Bachelor of Science, Master of Science, and Doctor of Philosophy in Mechanical Engineering, all from the University of Maryland.
