Mark Phillips began their career at Basho Technologies in 2008 as the Director of Community and Developer Evangelism. In this role, they were responsible for planning and executing language adoption initiatives, designing and implementing metrics programs to track and drive community growth, creating documentation and resources, organizing events, speaking on behalf of Basho and Riak at high-profile open source and developer conferences, interacting with open source users, monitoring social media outlets, and cultivating relationships with thought leaders. Mark then moved into a Business Development Analyst role. In 2014, they joined Helium Systems Inc as the VP Business Development.
