Shane McCartney

Shane McCartney is a Certified Medical Coder at Penn State Health, with responsibilities including the review of EMS charts for various coding and billing purposes. Prior to this role, Shane worked as a Medical Insurance Biller and a Call Center Representative, managing patient account reviews and assisting with insurance updates. Shane has a diverse background in event management and sports instruction, having served as an Event Manager at York College of Pennsylvania and as an Instructor for Ripken Baseball and Spooky Nook Sports. Additional experiences include roles in hockey operations, outdoor education, and stadium operations, along with a Bachelor of Science in Recreation, Park, and Tourism Management from Penn State University.
