Chris M. McRorie

General Counsel at Highlander Partners

Chris is responsible for all legal affairs for the firm, including acting as the primary legal officer for most of the firm’s portfolio companies. His focus is on legal structuring and due diligence related to our transaction executions, as well as post-closing oversight of legal matters and governance. Chris also assists in tax compliance and administrative support functions.

Chris joined Highlander Partners in 2008. Prior to joining Highlander, he advised clients in public and private capital formation transactions, mergers and acquisitions and general corporate advising first as an attorney at Simpson Thacher & Bartlett LLP in New York and later at Andrews Kurth LLP in Dallas. Throughout his legal career, Chris has represented a wide variety of public and private companies, private equity firms and individuals in complex financial transactions and corporate governance matters.

Chris earned a J.D. from Yale Law School and received a B.A. in Letters and B.A. in Spanish from the University of Oklahoma.
