Gemma Sudlow currently holds the position of Managing Director for the New York Region at Hindman Auctions since September 2022. Previously, Gemma had a distinguished career at Christie's from January 2005 to July 2022, culminating in the role of Senior Vice President and Head of Private & Iconic Collections and Decorative Arts. Responsibilities included leading a team to execute multiple high-profile sales annually and innovating business strategies. Earlier in the tenure at Christie's, Gemma served as Associate Director and Auctioneer, managing private and country house sales. Gemma began professional experience as an English Language Teacher with the JET Programme in Japan from August 2003 to July 2004. Academic credentials include a 1st Class Master of Arts (MA) with Honours in History of Art and English Literature from the University of Edinburgh (1999-2003).
