Joy Shimmin-Olson is a dedicated employment counselor and case manager with extensive experience in career guidance and development. Since December 2018, Joy has worked at HIRED, focusing on dislocated worker services and providing coaching and support to diverse populations in achieving their professional goals. Prior to this, Joy served as an AVP Employee Development Specialist at TCF Bank, where responsibilities included training employees in essential soft skills across various levels of the organization. Early career experience includes managing multiple store locations at Helzberg Diamonds, where Joy excelled in sales performance and staff training. Joy's educational background includes degrees in Liberal Arts and Management, as well as numerous training certifications in career development and training methodologies.
