Jonathan Cannata has a diverse work experience in the field of ultrasonics and medical technology. Jonathan started their career as a Resource Manager at NIH Resource on Medical Ultrasonic Transducer Technology in 2002 and worked there until 2011. During their time at NIH, they also served as a Research Assistant Professor at the University of Southern California from 2005 to 2011. In 2011, Cannata joined HistoSonics, Inc. as a Senior Ultrasound Engineer and later became the Director of Research, where they worked until September 2020. Currently, they hold the position of Director of Research and Advanced Development at HistoSonics, Inc. Additionally, they have been a TC 87 Delegate (Ultrasonics) at the International Electrotechnical Commission since 2015.
Jonathan Cannata holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Bioengineering from UC San Diego. Jonathan also earned a Master of Science degree and a PhD in Bioengineering from Penn State University.
