Mathias Borgnes

Mathias Borgnes is an experienced professional in the maritime industry, currently serving as Senior Contracts and Chartering Manager at Höegh LNG since August 2018. Responsibilities include leading contracts and chartering in business development across various projects, including FSRU, LNG carrier chartering, and carbon capture infrastructure. Prior roles at Höegh LNG encompassed Contracts and Chartering Manager and Contracts Manager, contributing to expertise in negotiating complex contracts. Mathias also gained valuable experience through summer internships at DNV GL, focusing on ship structure assessments and fatigue life evaluations. Earlier experience includes coaching cross country skiing for youth. Mathias holds a Master of Science degree in Naval Architecture and Marine Engineering from the Norwegian University of Science and Technology, completed in 2018.
