Executive Dean at Hofstra University

Lawrence (Larry) Levy is a prominent figure in academia and journalism, currently serving as Vice President of Economic Development and Professional Studies at Hofstra University since June 2019. In addition, Levy has been the Executive Dean of the National Center for Suburban Studies at Hofstra University since 2007 and held the position of Executive Director at Hofstra University from 2007 to 2009. Before their academic roles, Levy was a Co-host of "Face Off," a public affairs talk show with the Corporation for Public Broadcasting from 1993 to 2007, and spent three decades at Newsday as a Senior Editorial Writer and Chief Op-Ed Political Columnist. Levy holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Journalism, Film, and English Literature from Boston University, completed in 1972.
