Irina Fan has a diverse range of work experience in the field of economics and market analysis. Irina began their career as an Economist at the Hong Kong Trade Development Council in 1996 and held the position until 2006. Following that, they joined Hang Seng Bank as a Senior Economist, where they conducted in-depth analysis of Hong Kong's economic development and served as a key spokesperson on market economic issues until 2011. From 2011 to 2022, Irina worked at Swiss Re as the Head of Insurance Market Analysis. Currently, they hold the role of Research Director at the Hong Kong Trade Development Council, starting in 2022.
Irina Fan has a Master of Philosophy (MPhil) degree in Economics from The University of Hong Kong and a Master of Arts (MA) degree in Quantitative Analysis for Business from City University of Hong Kong.
