Heather Norman

Heather Norman is an experienced communications professional currently serving as a Strategic Communications Advisor at HOOPP since November 2021. Previously, Heather worked as a Senior Communications Advisor at the Ministry of Social Development, where responsibilities included leading communications for the Housing teams and managing significant changes to Emergency Housing in New Zealand. Additional roles include serving as a Communications Advisor for both the Department of Internal Affairs and Manatū Taonga Ministry for Culture and Heritage, as well as positions in journalism at the Quesnel Cariboo Observer, The Globe and Mail, and The Watch Magazine. Heather began a career in the fast-food industry at McDonald's before pursuing a Bachelor of Journalism (Honours) degree at the University of King's College, completed in 2018, with a focus on Journalism and International Development Studies.
