Eugenia Giannopoulou

Eugenia Giannopoulou is an accomplished academic and researcher with extensive experience in bioinformatics and computational genomics. Currently serving as an Associate Professor at City Tech, CUNY since January 2014, Giannopoulou combines teaching with research roles as an Assistant Research Scientist at the Hospital for Special Surgery. Previous positions include Assistant Computational Genomics Scientist and Postdoctoral Associate at Weill Cornell Medical College from September 2009 to January 2014. In earlier roles, Giannopoulou worked as a Research Fellow at the Foundation for Biomedical Research of the Academy of Athens and obtained a PhD from the University of Peloponnese. Giannopoulou also has experience in software development, having worked as a Web-Application Developer and Software Tester at Chemical Safety International. Education includes a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from Athens University of Economics and Business.
