Melissa Mair

Melissa Mair currently serves as the Manager of Interpretive Planning at the Houston Zoo, where responsibilities include developing exhibit narratives and overseeing content research and materials creation. Previous experience includes roles as Senior Interpretation Planner at the Carnegie Museum of Art, where project management and interpretive strategy development were key, and at The Nelson-Atkins Museum of Art, where leadership in interpretive planning and the launch of a museum app were highlighted. Earlier roles featured a Student Ambassador position at the University of East Anglia, a Curatorial Assistant position at the Michael C. Carlos Museum, and various supportive roles at Emory University. Melissa Mair holds a Master's degree in History of Art from the University of East Anglia and a Bachelor of Arts in Art History and Ancient Mediterranean Studies from Emory University.
