Karthik Roop Kumar

Karthik Roop Kumar is an accomplished engineering leader with extensive experience in software development. Currently serving as the Director of Engineering at Houzz since December 2015, Karthik has previously held positions including Senior Software Engineering Manager and Software Engineer within the same organization. Prior to Houzz, Karthik worked at eBay Inc from October 2011 to November 2015 as Software Engineer 3, where notable contributions included leading frontend engineering on the view item page, impacting significant revenue and user engagement. Karthik also served as a Software Engineer 2 in eBay’s Social Commerce team. Early career experience includes a role as a Graduate Assistant at the College of Liberal Arts, where Karthik contributed to the development of the VideoLearningMachine educational application. Karthik holds a Master of Science in Computer Science from the University of Minnesota and a Bachelor of Engineering in Computer Science from MS Ramaiah Institute of Technology.
