Russell Jackson

Group Head of Internal Audit at HSBC

Russell Jackson assumed the role of Group Head of Internal Audit* with effect from 3 June 2025. He is a standing attendee of the Group Operating Committee.

Mr Jackson joined HSBC in 2023 as Group Head of Enterprise Risk, where he made a significant impact on the Group’s risk management and control framework, simplifying the Risk Management Framework, and partnering and challenging our businesses on areas of strategic and emerging risk.

Prior to joining HSBC, Mr Jackson was CEO of Fnality Services, an e-payment’s business. He has previously held a range of risk and regulatory roles at the Bank of England and Prudential Regulation Authority where he supervised several large banking institutions, amongst other responsibilities. He developed regulation across many aspects of the financial system, including, market infrastructure, payments, banking prudential and conduct requirements, corporate governance, resolution planning and operational risk and resilience.

He holds a bachelor’s degree in politics from Kingston University London.
