Deputy Director, Innovations Partnerships at HTX (Home Team Science & Technology Agency)

Mok Shao Hong has over 16 years of work experience in various roles within government agencies and engineering companies. Mok began their career at DSTA as an Engineer in Export Control and Trade Advisory before moving on to become a Senior Engineer in Armoured Fighting Platforms. During their time at DSTA, they led the development of an indigenous next-generation armoured fighting vehicle variant and completed the development of a fully matured environmentally-qualified vehicle prototype. In 2013, they joined the Ministry of Home Affairs Singapore as a Senior Assistant Director, focusing on Human Centric Systems, UI/UX, and Cognitive Performance. Mok led user workshops and prototype development for team dashboards and operator consoles and implemented alternative environmental designs for officer performance. In 2019, they joined HTX as a Senior Assistant Director, where they developed technology roadmaps for interdiction technologies and led the integration of multiple counter-drone solutions for urban city deployment. Mok later became the Deputy Director, Innovations Partnerships, where they established partnerships across various science and technology domains. Currently, Mok Shao Hong is the Center Director at Hatch, starting in 2023.

Mok Shao Hong obtained a Bachelor of Engineering in Mechanical Engineering from Nanyang Technological University Singapore from 2003 to 2007. In 2005, they briefly attended the University of Washington for the same degree and field of study.
