Aloysius Cheang

Aloysius Cheang serves as President of Cybersecurity & Privacy Protection and Chief Security Officer for the Middle East & Central Asia at Huawei since September 2020, overseeing cybersecurity responsibilities for 21 countries geographically and 57 countries globally. Concurrently, Aloysius holds the role of Vice Global Security and Privacy Officer. Previously, as Chief Security Officer UAE, Aloysius led the cybersecurity strategy for the UAE region. In addition to these roles, Aloysius is a co-founder and Board Director of the Centre for Strategic Cyberspace + International Studies, and has held advisory positions at AC3Labs Pte Ltd, NCDRC, and various universities. Aloysius has extensive experience in cybersecurity and privacy, having held notable positions at Cloud Security Alliance and (ISC)², and possesses a strong academic background with a Doctor of Business Administration and Master’s degree in Computing from National University of Singapore.
