Alain Gervaix is a distinguished medical professional with extensive experience in pediatric medicine, currently serving as the Director of the Department of Woman, Child and Adolescent and Head of the Pediatric Emergency Division at Hôpitaux Universitaires de Genève since January 1997. Gervaix has also held the position of Director of the Department of Children and Adolescents and led the Pediatric Emergency Unit and Infectious Diseases Unit. Between January 2011 and June 2017, Gervaix served as Vice Dean for Humanitarian and International Affairs at the Faculty of Medicine, University of Geneva. Prior experience includes a role as Research Fellow at UC San Diego from 1995 to 1997. Gervaix earned a Doctor of Medicine degree from the University of Geneva between 1981 and 1986.
