Brian Bergen started their work experience as a Drupal Developer at 3HO in January 2012. Brian was responsible for site architecture and server administration. In July 2014, they transitioned to the role of Firefighter at the Santa Fe County Fire Department, where they responded to emergencies and operated firefighting apparatus. After leaving the fire department in July 2014, Brian joined VentureBeat as a Senior Software Engineer. In January 2016, they started working at Sense.ly as a DevOps Engineer. Brian then joined Human API in September 2018, continuing their role as a DevOps Engineer.
Brian Bergen earned a Bachelor's Degree in Applied Mathematics from the City University of New York-College of Staten Island, where they studied from 2002 to 2006. Brian then went on to pursue further education in the same field at the University of Utah from 2006 to 2007. Additionally, Brian has another Bachelor's Degree in Physics, which they obtained from the City University of New York-College of Staten Island during the same time period as their Applied Mathematics degree. Brian also holds several certifications, including CEVO-3 from the National Safety Council, Firefighter 1 from the International Fire Service Accreditation Congress, Hazardous Materials Awareness and Operations from the International Fire Service Accreditation Congress, and EMT Basic certifications from both the New Mexico Department of Health and the New York State Department of Health.
