Emilia Borgthorsdottir is an experienced environmental specialist and industrial designer with a diverse background in design, health, and management. Currently at Húsasmiðjan since August 2022, Emilia focuses on environmental initiatives. Previous roles include serving as a senior industrial designer at VE123, where notable work involved the development of sustainable solutions including the Mink Campers project. Additional experience encompasses independent design work and significant managerial responsibilities at Hreyfigreining, overseeing human resources, marketing, and health club operations. Emilia holds multiple degrees, including a Master in Environment and Natural Resources from the University of Iceland and a B.S. in Industrial Design from the Art Institute of California. Additionally, a foundational B.S. in Physical Therapy was earned at Háskóli Íslands.

Milestones 1956 Húsasmiðjan established by Mr. Snorri Halldórsson, born 1911 at Magnússkógar in the "Dalir" of Western Iceland. An active master builder he built many renowned buildings in Reykjavík such as the National theatre and the University cinema.
