Mohammad Alsaati has extensive experience in leadership roles within the Islamic Development Bank (IsDB) since October 1998, serving as Special Advisor to the President and Director General of the Regional Hub in UAE, alongside directing key strategic departments such as Human Resources and Operations Policy. Prior to IsDB, Mohammad Alsaati was the Director of Corporate and Support Services at King Fahd International Airport under the Civil Aviation Authority from July 1987 to October 1998. Educational qualifications include a Master of Public Administration from the University of San Francisco, a Master of Urban and Regional Planning from King Faisal University, and a Bachelor of Civil Engineering in Transportation from San Jose State University.

Functions The functions of the Bank are to participate in equity capital and grant loans for productive projects and enterprises besides providing financial assistance to member countries in other forms for economic and social development. The Bank is also required to establish and operate special funds for specific purposes including a fund for assistance to Muslim communities in non-member countries, in addition to setting up trust funds. The Bank is authorized to accept deposits and to mobilize financial resources through Shari'ah compatible modes.
