Mattie Young-Burns has held various roles in different organizations, from working as a Bilingual Call Center Agent to managing relationships with schools and community organizations for youth engagement programs. They have a background in political science, government, and Spanish from Lawrence University. With experience in program management, training, and development, Mattie is dedicated to implementing nutrition and culinary programming, as well as facilitating leadership training for high school students in different projects. Their work reflects a commitment to public health, volunteer management, and community engagement.

Non-profit economic development organization representing businesses on the Near West Side of Chicago. ICNC's mission is to strengthen companies in the Kinzie Industrial Corridor and to facilitate economic and community development. ICNC is a Small Business Development Center providing no-cost advising to new and existing businesses, as well as advocating for infrastructure improvements, business-friendly zoning, and other issues important to local companies. ICNC also owns and manages one of the largest business incubators in the world, where it provides affordable space in an entrepreneurial environment to help companies start and grow.
